Pediatric Associates of Lawrenceville, LLC.

Lawrenceville, Georgia

Project Overview:

LeVino Jones takes great pride in having repeat clients; this is the third time we’ve been commissioned to help with finishes and theme ideas for this bustling pediatric and adolescent practice in Lawrenceville, Georgia. LeVino Jones prepared finish documents for their new 10,400 square foot suite in a brand-new building. Working with plans prepared by another design firm, LeVino Jones came up with a new way to make the two-story waiting area more fun and less voluminous by adding acoustical “clouds”to quiet the space and give the ceiling some interest. Colors are less primary and more upbeat to respect the many ages and cultures of patients and their families. “Bands” of color in flooring and corresponding accent walls bring the space extra interest, break up the long hallways, and define spaces.

Sandy Springs Pediatrics

Project Overview: For their 50th anniversary, Sandy Springs Pediatrics relocated offices to reflect their look to match the level of excellent care they provide. The new office is located in the heart of Sandy Springs and is more convenient for patients as it is located on the first-floor and offers free parking. After meeting with the client to determine their workflow and office needs, LeVino Jones incorporated a “sophisticated treehouse” design which delights children and families and increases efficiency for patient flow and staff productivity. The space ensures a positive, healing environment with shades of blue and green and artwork featuring nature scenes. The 16 exam rooms have custom millwork that was thoughtfully designed to meet the physician’s needs for examining patients. Patient safety is a priority to Sandy Springs Pediatrics and to Levino Jones. Cabinets are secured with lockable magnets and a built-in step stool pulls out for children to reach the exam counter.

The space features tree canopy soffits and flooring changes that mimic the ceiling to provide wayfinding to major areas within the space. Barn doors were used at every exam room to save 9 square feet within each room and create a clean, uniform look down the hallway. Overall, the design focused on low maintenance finishes, infection control, patient and staff flow and creating a positive atmosphere for children and their parents.

Roswell Pediatric Center, P.C.

The staff of Roswell Pediatric Center, P.C. is dedicated to their young clientele. They requested that their offices include a series of designed “positive distractions” to reflect a fun and playful image fitting for the families they serve, from infants to adolescents.

The sick and well reception desk facades include a unique, custom bubble wall that changes colors to fascinate kids while parents take care of registration. Unusually shaped vinyl upholstered furnishings provide seating options for all that are fun and cleanable.

The bright palette continues into the corridor and gives each provider “pod” with a color identity that coordinates with corridor signage and finishes in each exam room. Custom digital wallcovering was specified in exam rooms that have colorful, themed “search-and-find” graphics to help keep children and parents occupied.

LeVino Jones’ services included selection, design and specification of cabinetry, finishes, custom features, furniture and artwork for this innovative and vibrant suite.
