LeVino Jones was founded in 1988 as a medical interior design firm by Alison Jones. In 2021, LeVino Jones entered a new chapter when it was acquired by Phil Mulford. This month marks 4 years since the acquisition. Phil has been making strides in the growth and development of LeVino Jones over the past few years. In any case, growth always comes with challenges, but Phil came prepared.
“I think we did a pretty good job of anticipating the challenges and being prepared for them. The first and most important challenge was to maintain the culture that Alison and Sandy built. A business doesn’t survive for over 30 years without doing a lot of things right. We set out to keep the culture and to allow the studio to keep doing what they love to do. We just wanted more people to know about it.”
From day one, Phil’s biggest challenge would be to maintain the culture that Alison and Sandy, the Principal, had built over the past 3 decades. His priority has always been to protect the heart of the firm and keep the team doing what they love while working to share their work with a wider audience. This balance has been crucial to the decision making and transformation of LeVino Jones. Let’s review some of the transformations that our firm has achieved with Phil’s leadership:
