It was time for Roswell Pediatric Center, P.C. to expand into an available suite upstairs in their current Cumming location. Using their existing suite on the first floor as a guide, functions were duplicated on the second floor to provide additional exam, lab, waiting, staff work, and business support functions. The finishes on the second floor duplicated the finishes on the first floor to make it feel like one cohesive practice.
With the change upstairs, there were also a few changes to the first floor: expand the break room, shift around some exam rooms, and rework the IT/electrical closet. With clean-ability and comfort underfoot being the main priorities for new flooring, the staff boldly decided to use a product from Switzerland and currently gaining popularity in America. It’s a “flocked vinyl” in a bold, fun pattern and is used in the waiting areas, corridors, and offices. A wood-grain sheet vinyl with integral base was installed in all exam and patient care areas. The bold circles on the first-floor corridor walls was duplicated on the second floor. Murals were included above wall protection in all exam rooms to duplicate the same in their Crabapple office. Bold colors and fun shapes gave the office a fun and playful vibe.
