For their 50th anniversary, Sandy Springs Pediatrics relocated offices to reflect their look to match the level of excellent care they provide. The new office is located in the heart of Sandy Springs and is more convenient for patients as it is located on the first-floor and offers free parking.
After meeting with the client to determine their workflow and office needs, LeVino Jones incorporated a “sophisticated treehouse” design which delights children and families and increases efficiency for patient flow and staff productivity. The space ensures a positive, healing environment with shades of blue and green and artwork featuring nature scenes. The 16 exam rooms have custom millwork that was thoughtfully designed to meet the physician’s needs for examining patients. Patient safety is a priority to Sandy Springs Pediatrics and to Levino Jones. Cabinets are secured with lockable magnets and a built-in step stool pulls out for children to reach the exam counter.
The space features tree canopy soffits and flooring changes that mimic the ceiling to provide wayfinding to major areas within the space. Barn doors were used at every exam room to save 9 square feet within each room and create a clean, uniform look down the hallway. Overall, the design focused on low maintenance finishes, infection control, patient and staff flow and creating a positive atmosphere for children and their parents.
